Dvojkoncert - Vanessa Mae a José Carreras / Double concert - Vanessa Mae and José Carreras

Máte rádi listopad? Já ani moc ne. Vím, že hodně lidí má podzim rádo. Já tedy mezi ně nepatřím. Ani by mi nevadila zima (i když asi vadila :D), ale nejhorší je to, že už skoro vůbec nesvítí sluníčko. A to mi na tom přijde nejvíc deprimující. Ale nebojte, dnešní článek nebude o počasí.

Doufám tedy, že se dnešním článkem trošku zahřejeme a zlepšíme si náladu, když už musí být takové ponuré počasí. Tento týden v úterý, kdy měl přijet svatý Martin na bílém koni (upřímně jsem velmi ráda, že ho nechal ve stáji), se konal v O2 Aréně charitativní dvojkoncert dvou umělců, a to houslové virtuosky Vanessy Mae a operního pěvce José Carrerase. Hudbu mám moc ráda, a tak jsem se na tento koncert vydala. Vlastně jsem nikdy na žádné podobné akci nebyla, ať už na koncertu vážné hudby nebo na opeře. Ačkoliv v případě Vanessy je spojení "vážná hudba" trošku silné :) 

Naposledy si Vanessu pamatuji se skladbou Destiny, kterou se proslavila. Pravda ale je, že Vanessa Mae je aktivní už od roku 1990, kdy mi byly 3 roky, takže v té době si ji opravdu nepamatuju :) Po Destiny jsem o ní už moc neslyšela. Teď je jí 36 let a když jsem jí viděla, říkala jsem si, že vypadá úplně stejně, tak, jak si ji pamatuju. Zajímalo by mě, jak to dělá. Kromě toho, že nádherně vypadala, měla i moc hezké vystupování. Působila hrozně příjemně. Říkala, že má moc ráda Prahu, usmívala se a působila moc milým dojmem. Žádná nafrněná celebrita s manýry a s nosánkem nahoru, přesto, že se svým talentem by si to mohla dovolit. Když zrovna nehrála na housle (své pověstné skleněné nechala tentokrát doma nebo v zákulisí a vzala zavděk klasickým dřevěným) a hrál jen orchestr, ona se pohupovala ve večerních šatech v rytmu hudby, procházela se po jevišti. Mně se hrozně tímhle líbila. Protože bylo vidět, že si to užívá a vnesla do toho úplně jinou energii.

Bohužel Vám nebudu schopná říct názvy skladeb, které odzněly, protože jsem znala jen některé, ale názvy bohužel nevím :( Bylo mi taky hrozně sympatické, že prokládala známé skladby s neznámými, takže se člověk nenudil. Orchestr byl taky skvělý. Vanessa hrála zhruba od osmi a když skončila, bylo po čtvrt na deset. Pak byla vyhlášena přestávka, po které přišel pan Carreras. 

Všechna čest jeho věku a tomu, co ještě v tomto věku dokáže se svým hlasem, ale bohužel já asi úplně nejsem ten správný člověk na posuzování. Po Vanesse to byl "trošku" skok. Když hrál orchestr sám, byla jsem z toho nadšená, protože miluju instrumentální hudbu. Ale pan Carreras sám nepěl moc známých skladeb. Bylo tam i pár duetů s nějakou operní pěvkyní, která v mezidobí přišla, zapěla, aby se zase vystřídala s panem Carrerasem. Jediná, pro mě známá skladba, která tam zazněla byla z muzikálu My Fair Lady - Chtěla bych tančit jen... Věřím, že operní milci byli určitě nadšeni přítomností ve stejném sále se světoznámým José Carrerasem a určitě z toho měli úžasný zážitek. Mně se líbila hlavně Vanessa Mae. Bohužel jsem si všimla, že většina diváků odcházela dříve ještě předtím, než pan Carreras dozpíval, takže jsem nebyla jediná s názorem, že Vanessa byla okouzlující, ale druhá polovina večera už za moc nestála.

Ve vedlejším boxu jsem také zahlédla Helenku Vondráčkovou, které to taky moc slušelo. Takže to byl velice hezký, kulturní večer a určitě zážitek. Pokud by byla Vanessa Mae někdy zase v Praze a měla bych možnost, určitě bych se na ni zase šla podívat, protože nejen, že je to kvalitní umělec, ale řekla bych, že bude i skvělá bytost. Co se týče opery, nejsem si úplně jistá, že bych někdy na operní koncert šla. Ale nikdy neříkej nikdy, že :)

Do you like November? I do not too much. I know that a lot of people do. I definitely don´t belong among them. I wouldn´t mind cold (even though I would mind :D) but the worst is that the sun doesn´t shine at all. And this is what comes to me the most depressing. But don´t worry, today´s article won´t be about the weather. 

I hope then that we´ll get warm a little bit with this article and we´ll improve our mood when there´s so gloomy outside. This Tuesday when saint Martin should have arrived with his white horse (honestly I´m so glad that he let him in the stable), the charitable double concert of two performers was held in Prague´s O2 Arena. Those performers were the violin virtuoso Vanessa Mae and the opera singer José Carreras. I love music a lot and so I went to this event. Actually I haven´t been on this kind of event ever, whether the concert of classical music or the opera. Although in case of Vanessa the idiom "classical music" is a little bit strong :)

Last time I remember Vanessa, it´s about her piece Destiny which was probably the most famous. The truth is that Vanessa Mae is active from 1990 when I was only 3 years old, so I really don´t remember her from that time :) After Destiny I haven´t heard about her so much. Now she´s 36 years old and when I saw her, I thought that she looked the same as I remember her. I wonder how is she doing this. Except that she looked amazing, she had very nice performing. She gave very pleasant impression. She was saying that she loves Prague and she was still smiling. Definitely not some self-important celebrity with the manners and with her nose up, despite she could afford it with her talents. When she wasn´t playing the violin (the glass ones she left at home for this moment or in the backstage) and only orchestra was playing, she was swinging in her gown in the rhythm of the music walking on the stage. I liked her about this. Because it was seen that she´s enjoying it and she brought this different energy to the show.

Unfortunately I´m not able to tell you the names of the pieces that were heard because I knew just some of them but the names I unfortunately don´t know :( It was also very sympathetic that she was changing the known pieces with the unknown so you weren´t bored. The orchestra was great, too. Vanessa was performing from 8 p.m. and when she left, it was about quarter past nine. Then there was a little break, after which Mr Carreras came to the stage.

All the honour to his age and to what he can do with his voice but unfortunately I´m not the right person for judging. It was a "little" jump after Vanessa. When there was just orchestra playing, I was excited from it because I love instrumental music. But Mr Carreras didn´t sing any of known songs. There were also a few duets with some opera female singer who came in the interlude to the stage, then sang and to change again with Mr Carreras. The only, for me known song, was from My Fair Lady musical - I Could Have Danced All Night... I believe that the opera lovers were certainly excited by the presence in the same hall with the world-famous José Carreras and definitely had a great experience from it. I liked especially Vanessa Mae. Unfortunately I noticed that the most viewers left before Mr Carreras finished singing, so I wasn´t the only one with the opinion that Vanessa was charming but the second half of the evening was nothing much to worth.

I also saw Helenka Vondráčková (well-known Czech pop singer) in the next loge and she was very nice, too. So it was very nice, cultural evening and definitely it was an experience. If Vanessa Mae would be sometimes in Prague again and I´d have the opportunity, I´d definitely go to see her because not only she´s a great performer, but I´d say that she´s also a great person. As for the opera, I´m not very sure that I´d visit some opera concert in the future. But never say never, right :)
