Gelové nehty vs. akrylové nehty / Gel nails vs. acrylic nails

Přeji hezký večer,

je tu středa, a tak jsem tu s "beauty" článkem, tentokrát se budu věnovat porovnání gelových nehtů a akrylových nehtů. Osobně mám zkušenost s obojím, jinak bych Vám to tu ani nevykládala, když bych nevěděla, o čem mluvím. 

První nehty jsem si nechala udělat kvůli maturitnímu plesu, tzn. píše se rok 2006. Moje sestřenice v té době dělala gelové nehty, takže před maturitním plesem jsme se k ní i se svou nejlepší kamarádkou vydaly. Tenkrát byla populární klasická francie, a protože jsem měla šaty s vínovou sukní, tak jsem si k bílé francii nechala dát vínový kamínek. Pak asi dva roky nic, až mě na nápad nechat si znovu udělat nehty, přivedla spolužačka na VŠ. Protože jsem byla studentka, tak jsem si nemohla dovolit nehty za 700,- Kč a tak jsem se objednala k jedné slečně, kterou jsem objevila na netu, kde na svých stránkách nabízela nové nehty za celkem přijatelnou cenu. Z nehtů jsem byla nadšená, ale jak jsem později zjistila, nebylo to úplně to pravé ořechové. A nebylo to úplně tak, jak by to mělo vypadat. Našla jsem si potom jinou "nehtařku", ke které jsem šla na doplnění gelových nehtů a ta se úplně zděsila, když ty moje "lopatičky" viděla. Od té doby jsem chodila k Tině na gelové nehty. Je pravda, že občas mi nějaký ten nehet ulítl, ale 3-4 týdny vydržely. Jasně, že pokud je nouze, vydrží i 5 týdnů, ale už je to víc vidět a nevypadají tolik hezky. Navíc já jsem v tomhle hrozná a musím jít na doplnění už po 3 týdnech, protože mně už ten design nebaví a musím si dát něco nového. V tomhle moc nechápu holky, co tam chodí na doplnění a vždy si nechají dát úplně to samé, s čím tam přišly. Mně se to stalo snad jen dvakrát, že jsem si nechala udělat to stejné, co už jsem někdy měla, ale v rozmezí jednoho roku. S Tinou jsem tedy byla celkem spokojená, byla hlavně rychlá. Byla jsem hotová tak za 45 min., což bylo super. Pak ale šla na mateřskou a přijala za sebe náhradu, Janičku, ke které chodím dodnes. Více mi vyhovuje styl práce, který má Jana. Je šikovná, používá dezinfekci a vše, jak se má. Když jdete poprvé na nehty, nejdůležitější je výběr studia. Rozhodně neplatí úměra, čím dražší, tím kvalitnější. Osobně si tedy toto nemyslím u ničeho. Důležité je, aby dotyčná používala dezinfekci, dezinfikovat se mají všechny pomůcky, které budou použity při nehtové modeláži, tzn. pilníky, bruska, nástavce na brusku, manikérka by si měla též vydezinfikovat ruce a také Vaše ruce. Takto je správný postup, jak by to vypadat mělo. Proto jsem s Janičkou spokojená. Navíc je ve své práci pečlivá a nestane se mi, jako tomu bylo u jiné nehtařky, že bych odcházela a už druhý den měla odrost, protože některé nehtařky se s tím prostě nemažou a nedají to rovnou od kůžičky, takže Vám ten gel začíná až dál a nevypadá to vůbec hezky. V tom se mi Jana líbí, že je vážně pečlivá a vyhraje si s tím. Je teda také pravda, že jsem u ní trošku déle než 45 minut, ale ono také záleží, co si necháte na ty nehty dát. Když jen klasickou francii, tak je to rychlovka. To jen já vymýšlím samé takové bejkárny a divočiny :D 

Doteď jsem mluvila jen o gelových nehtech. Protože ale mi gelové nehty tolik nedržely a připadaly mi měkčí a víc náchylné k tomu, aby je člověk mohl ukousat nebo nalomit, poradila mi Jana, jestli bych nechtěla zkusit akrylové. Cenově to vychází úplně nastejno (tedy u mé nehtařky ano), jen jsou nehty pevnější a jen tak něco je nezničí a vydrží fakt všechno. Můžu potvrdit. Dělám s nimi opravdu všechno. Myji nádobí, uklízím, dělala jsem těsta na cukroví, zpracovávala těsta. I hrabat v hlíně nebo písku v létě se s nimi můžete, i když je pak nepříjemné mít zbytky hlíny nebo písku za nehty, ale nehtům to nijak neuškodí. Takže musím říct, že teď už si asi půl roku nechávám dělat akrylové a jsem s nimi nadmíru spokojená. Modeláž akrylových trvá trošku déle, ale zase záleží, co si necháváte dělat a v jakém stavu ty nehty máte. Výhodou oproti gelovým je to, že se nepoužívají tipy (nalepené umělé nehty), ale tvar nehtu se vytvoří právě pomocí akrylu, který je přírodní, takže máte pocit, že Vaše nehty tolik netrpí. 

Ráda bych se ještě vyjádřila k různým mýtům, které panují o "umělých nehtech", přesto, že nemám pojem "umělé" v souvislosti s nehty ráda, protože umělé nejsou. U gelových postupně doplňujete pouze gel a tipy (umělé nehty) se už nelepí, a u akrylových se vůbec nic umělého nedává. Takže to jen tak na okraj. 

Často se říká, že po modeláži jsou nehty zničené. Také to není pravda. Samozřejmě, že pokud budete chodit k Vietnamcům nebo někam, kde se nepoužívá kvalitní nehtová kosmetika a kde nepoužívají dezinfekci ani protiplísňové přípravky, tak je jasné, že se se zlou potážete. A na tato studia bych si opravdu dávala pozor a zjišťovala bych, jak to tam mají s hygienou! Je jasné, že když si necháte nehty, ať už gelové či akrylové, odstranit, není jejich kvalita nijak závratná, ale je to jako u barvení vlasů. Pokud používáte kvalitní přípravky, není to tak hrozné a brzy se dostanou do formy. Občas, když se mi nějaký ten nehet zlomil, tak jsem nepozorovala, že by nehty byly zničené. Určitě je ale dobré po odstranění nehtů jim věnovat náležitou péči a starat se o ně pěstícími prostředky. Dobrý je prý p-shine, ale osobně s ním zkušenost nemám. Dobré jsou i různé olejíčky, které dají do pořádku kůžičku a oslabená nehtová lůžka.

Jaký je tedy výsledek? Za mě určitě akrylové nehty. Jednak mě oproti gelovým přesvědčily svou tvrdostí a pevností, kdy vydrží opravdu cokoliv a jednak to, že jsou přírodní, je také velké plus. Navíc ještě oproti gelovkám nevypadají tolik tlustě, když se na ně podíváte, takže vypadají přirozeněji. Wednesday is here and so here I am with beauty article. This time I will compare gel nails and acrylic nails. Personally I have experience with both, otherwise I wouldn´t tell anything about this, though I didn´t know what I´m talking about.

The first nails I had, it was for my graduation party, so it was in 2006. At that time my cousin was doing gel nails like her profession, so we went to her before prom with my best friend. In those days the classic french manicure was popular and because I was wearing a dress with a burgundy skirt, so I wanted to give a winy stone to french manicure. Then I was about two years without gel nails until one schoolmate at university brought me to idea to have gel nails done again. Since I was a student, so I couldn´t afford nails for 700 CZK, so I ordered to one girl who I found on web where she offered new gel nails for a quite acceptable price. I was enthused by nails, but I later found out it wasn´t quite so good. And it wasn´t quite the way it should look like. I then found another „nail lady“ who I came to for nails supplement. She was completely terrified when she saw these „paddles“ of mine. Since then I went to Tina´s for gel nails. It´s true that sometimes some nail had broken but the nails hung on for 3 to 4 weeks. Clearly if there is an emergency, they can last even 5 weeks, but it´s more to see like it´s older and it doesn´t look so good. Moreover in this I´m awful and I need to go for supplement already after 3 weeks, because I´m not interested in design anymore and I have to get something new. I really don´t understand girls who go for supplement and always want exactly the same what they had before. It happened to me perhaps twice I had the same thing I´ve ever had, but it was in interval like one year. I was quite content with Tina. She was especially fast. I was done in 45 minutes, which was great. However then she went on maternity leave and accept substitute for herself, Janie, to whom I go for until today. Her style of work suits me more. She is handy, she uses disinfection and everything, like it should be. When you go first for the nails, the most important is the choice of salon. Definitely it´s not right the proportion, the more expensive, the more of quality. Personally I think it´s true about nothing. Important is using disinfection all equipment that will be used within the nails modeling, i.e. files, grinder, the grinder attachment. The manicurist should disinfect her hands and Your hands, too. This is the correct steps how it should look like. Therefore I´m satisfied with Jane. Furthermore she´s very precise and it won´t happen to me, as was the case with other manicurist that I would leave and the next day I had re-growth. Because some manicurists aren´t so precise and doesn´t put the gel straightly to the cuticle so the gel begins farther away and it doesn´t look nice at all. I like Jane in that, because she is really meticulous and she spends a lot of time to make nails look excellent. It´s also true that I´m there for more than 45 minutes, but it also depends what you want to have on your nails. When only classical french manicure, it´s a quickie. It´s just me who invents such crazy things and wilderness :D

So far I have only talked about the gel nails. Because the gel nails didn´t keep a tight hold and it seeemed to me thicker and more predisposed to bite or break, Jane asked me if I want to try the acrylic nails. It´s almost the same with the price (thus at my manicurist´s it is), but the nails are stronger and nothing is going to destroy them and it persists really everything. I can confirm that. I´m making everything with them. I wash the dishes, I clean, I made doughs for Christmas sweets, I was processing the doughs. Also you can dig in the soil or sand in the summer, although it´s then uncomfortable to have the rests of the soil or sand under your nails but it doesn´t harm the nails in any way. So I have to say that now I´m wearing the acrylic nails about half a year and I´m extremely satisfied with them. The modeling of acrylic nails takes a little longer time, but again it depends on what you want to have on them and in what condition do you have them. The advantage in comparison with the gel ones is that the tips (glued artificial nails) are not used but the shape of the nail is created just using acrylic, which is natural, so you feel that your nails don´t suffer so much.

I would like to make comments on the various myths that exist about „the artificial nails“, despite I don´t like the term of „artificial“ in connection with nails because they aren´t artificial. At gel nails you gradually refill only gel and the tips (artificial nails) aren´t stuck anymore and at acrylic nails there is nothing artificial added. So it´s just on the edge.

It´s often said that after the modeling nails are devastated. Also it isn´t true. Of course if you go to some Vietnamese salon or somewhere where they don´t use quality nail cosmetics and where they don´t use disinfection neither antifungal agents, it´s clear it will be bad for You. I really would be careful about these salons and I would try to find out what´s the hygiene like there! It´s clear that if you let your nails remove, either the gel or acrylic, their quality is in no way staggering, but it´s like with hair colouring. If you´re using quality products, it isn´t so bad and soon they´ll get into shape. From time to time, when I got some nail broken, I didn´t notice that the nails were destroyed. However certainly it´s good after the removing of nails take them proper care and take care about them with some caring means. I heard that the p-shine is good, but I don´t have personal experience with it. Well there are different oils that fortify the cuticles and weakened nail beds.

What´s the result then? For me definitely the winner are the acrylic nails. Firstly compared to the gel nails they convince me with their hardness and firmness, when they can withstand really anything and, secondly, the fact they´re natural is also a big plus. Moreover against the gel nails they don´t look so thick when you look at them, so they look more natural.
